ever since i updated my phone to IOS 7.1 i cant call or text or get them without wifi. also i cant calll or text non iphone users at all. my 3g pretty much wont turn on. it just says 1x when im not connected to wifi and i cant do anything. no internet, no calls, and no texts. siri also does not work.

1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Please describe how you updated the iOS to 7.1 on your iPhone 3G.
Same happened to me. I have Verizon and signed into my verizonwireless.com account where I discovered my phone was in Suspended mode. I unSuspended it with phone and text working again. Yet my internet service was stuck in 3G at best. I went to settings and reset my internet settings resulting in phone working as it should.

Siri works on wifi, but almost never on 3g since the 7.1 update. Any solutions?
