Mar 18, 2014 9:25 PM in response to sas240by Carolyn Samit,Reset the iPhone then take a photo. See if it shows up in the camra roll.
If not, reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then try a photo.

Mar 18, 2014 9:48 PM in response to sas240by sberman,Oops ... you asked two very different questions:
Your post's title says the photos are not showing up in Camera Roll.
Your post's body says the photos are not showing up in Photo Stream.
Which is it?

Mar 19, 2014 8:01 PM in response to sas240by Gandalf_UK,Sounds like the phone may be too full to store any new photos... check in Settings > General > Usage and see if you have any space left available.
If not, you'll have to free up some space to take and store new photos.
If there is available space, I'd suggest Settings > General > Reset All Settings then try again as suggested by Carolyn
