How do I remove x11?

I installed x11 to use with GIMP, but have since "upgraded" to Adobe CS. I would like to remove x11 from my system. Does anyone know how to do this?

15" Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

hi again,

yes, but it'll be a lot more work than the recipe i suggest below.......

1. double-click on Applications > Utilities > Terminal
2. a 'terminal" window will pop up, it has a prompt (like DOS or basic UNIX). hit return a few times - you just get another prompt.
3. cut/paste the following line from this thread into this terminal window
sudo rm -rf /etc/X11/ /usr/X11R6/
and hit return again.
4. enter your admin password and hit return

it's done. hit command-Q to quit terminal... cheers

hi Jay

drag it from Applications > Utilities to the trash
and empty the trash...

there are also some support files in /etc/X11 and
/usr/X11R6 which you can delete using Terminal...

cheers

Is there a way I can find these support files in folders on my HD and delete them visually? I have a little experience with UNIX in terminal but I am not confident in it when it doesn't have to do with web design. Thanks.
