Paper Size always stuck on Executive 7.25 x 10.5 when sent to printer

I'm having a problem printing anything. No matter what settings I choose in Paper Handling options, the print job is always sent as Executive (or Monarch) at 7.25 x 10.5. This causes an error at the printer.

Print preview looks fine. The problem occurs in all applications. I used to be able to print to this printer, but obviously something changed.

The printer is a Ricoh Aficio 3025 and I'm using Laserjet 5 - CUPS + Gutenprint 5.0 drivers (which used to work fine).

I've tweaked every setting I can think of with no change in result - the printer always says Paper-Size Mismatch. All other users can print to this printer although they are using Windows.

Any thoughts? I am pulling my hair out!

For anyone else with this problem, I finally got it to work. BTW, Ricoh does provide a postscript drive, but our printer does not support postscript.

Anyway, I had to download and install the Foomatic-RIP and ESP Ghostscript drivers here:

http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/foomatic/

Then I generated a custom PPD file for the Ricoh 3025 here:

http://www.linuxprinting.org/showprinter.cgi?recnum=Ricoh-Aficio3025

Add the printer to your system, and under "Print Using" select "other", and choose the PPD file that you generated. Happiness.
