everytime I try to send a message my iphone4 shuts off, no loading circle thingy, it just turns off and i cant turn it on again. but if its plugged on the wall its perfectly normal. what could be the problem?

PS it got water damage a few months back. after the water damage it works but it heats up so bad, then now this happens
