There is no airplay to be found. Not in the control center, and not in my general settings. I'm right in front of my Apple TV which is ready to go..both are connected to the same network. What do I do?

Is your Apple TV second generation or later?
Here's the troubleshooter?
Reset the iPhone then see if AirPlay shows up in the Control Center.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
AirPlay should show up to the right of Air Drop...
Yes Apple TV is brand new as well. I can get to the airplay settings on Apple TV. Just not my phone. And I did the reset of my phone and it's still doesn't appear. :( The weird thing is It used to be on my phone I've seen it before, but now for some reason it's disappeared
The phone and ATV have to be connected to the same network. You say they are. Positive ? That threw me for a while, as the Airplay button on control center would appear and dissapear.
Yes 100 percent positive that they are both on the same network still nothing :(
Strange...don't know what to say. Did you post in the AppleTV forum? Maybe someone there will pick up something we are missing here.
