Question regarding CalDAV, SSL, MacOS X 10.6.8 Server

Morning.

For years I've running a MacOS X 10.6.8 Server providing all the calendar services I'm needing. A lot of Macs and iPhones are using this CalDAV server. The access to the server is controlled by an selfmade SSL certificate on the server.

Tonight, suddenly, the calendar services became unaccessible.

The investigation has revealed that the SSL feature were shut off. How could this has happen, that the SSL feature has been shut off automatically?

Thanks in advance for your support! Kind regards, Friedrich

Yes of course. But this is not a »feature« of 10.6.8. Anything can happen in every version of MacOS X Server. ;-)

Seriously, I hesitate to upgrade my server, because simply it works. And I do not know, whether all the clients have full access to an upgraded server, because the clients are running MacOS X 10.5.x up to 10.9.x. At the moment all machines have full access to files, calendars, printers and contacts on the server. And that's necessary.

Kind regards, Friedrich
