Q: how to transfer documents from my windows laptop to the storage space of the capsule?

hello everyone! im new here.. im trying to transfer all my documents from a windows laptop to the storage of the time capsule.. can someone help or teach me how? i also wanto the documents be openned to my macbook once i need them. i believe using a usb device will do the trick transfer documents to the usb device and plug it on the time capsule.. unfortunately i have no usb storage device.. is there a fast way using wi-fi or the lan cable transferring documents to the time capsule's storage.. thank you all in advance!

    Firstly make sure the TC is running suitable names.. for both the base station and the wireless.

     

    SMB names (ie windows type networking) is short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.

     

    Load the airport utility into the windows computer.

     

    Then in windows explorer, type in the address to the TC.

     

    \\TCname

     

    It should then be accessible.. if not the issue is windows computer firewall or wrong location / network settings.

     

    Moving files to a TC is dangerous.. it has no backup, is a sealed device.. and apple will not recover files if it fails.. make sure you backup everything you move..

     

    Assuming you ever want it again.

     

    Do not trust a TC. They are not that reliable.
