Find my mac

I recently left my macbook outside my locker at school and i couldnt find it. I tried using the find my mac on the internet but it said it has to be connected to the internet. is there any other way?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

In short, no.


Assuming you activated "find my mac" before it went missing, then logging on to trace it WILL work, but if it is not connected to the internet, its location will not show up.

You can keep checking to see if someone uses it to log on - in which case you will be able to pinpoint its location.


Other than this, report it, perhaps offer a reward for its safe return (since you know where it went missing) and ask others to keep a look out.
