Mar 19, 2014 5:55 AM in response to RobWebsterby lllaass,Are you sure the monitor has no audio in ports?
For information, there is no mid 2009 Mini. There are early 2009 and late 2009 Mini. The latter one's graphics has 256 MB of video memory and the former 128 or 256.
In any event, the the min display port to HDMI adopter only suppies video on the any 2009 Mini.

Thanks for that fast reply!
You are correct - its a late 2009 Mini. I have checked the TV again and there is a component? (red, yellow and white) input port/s - would the converter you sent the link for work in this scenario?
I have perfect quality picture going to the TV but the sound bit has me stumped.
Thanks
Rob

Mar 19, 2014 6:20 AM in response to RobWebsterby lllaass,That will not help since there is no good converter for the Minis output to component output.
You can't just sue the audio in of component with HDMI video.
I think the best i an adoper Like I provided in my previous reply together with a mini-DVI to DVI adopter (this adopter came with the Mini) ir mini disp;lay port to DVI adopter.
