How to Import Songs from CDS

i was trying to find out how to import songs from audio cds into itunes. When i put the audio cd into my cd drive i don't get prompted to import the cd. There is nothing in the File Edit View Controls Store Help bar that tells you how to import a cd. How do I do that? Grateful for any information. Thanks.

In iTunes, go to Edit > Preferences > General and you will see the options for actions to take when you insert a CD

Does the audioCD show up on the left side of iTunes?

Does the audioCD show up in Windows Explorer?

Thanks Dilbert. I did what you suggested and under at ‘When you insert a CD’ box: I picked ‘Ask to Import CD’ and still, nothing happened. It did not import it.
