I have an older macbook..osx 10.5.8. I intend to upgrade to Snow Leopard. I need an external hard drive to act as backup..suggestions?

I have an older macbook..osx 10.5.8. I intend to upgrade to Snow Leopard. What kind of external backup drive would you suggest ?

Good that you are thinking ahead. You should always have a reasonably current backup and especiall when makeing major software changes.

Also, before you upgrade use Disk Utility (found int the Applications/Utilities folder) to Verify Disk. If it shows red error messages you will need to reapir the disk before the OS upgrade.
