Q: iCloud E-Mail stalls when composing on a PC.  How can I fix this?

It doesn't matter which OS (Windows 8.1, 7, XP) or which browser (Safari, IE, FireFox, Chrome), iCloud E-Mail will let you start a message and work fine for a few seconds and then it stalls.  See the timings (below) which I documented from yesterday's encounter.  Under Internet Explorer iCloud E-Mail won't open a "compose" screen.  Instead it opens a new basic iCloud window showing all the iCloud Control Panel icons.  Here are timing examples:

- Writing session started, then stalled:

  - 01:25:38 = Wait

  - 00:31:00 = Compose/Write (...that's a whole 31 seconds)

  - 01:33:32 = Wait

  - 00:28:00 = Compose

  - 01:59:00 = Wait

  - 00:04:00 = Compose (That's a whole 4 seconds!)

Is there some PC setting that needs to be corrected?  My iPhone and iPad work flawlessly with no stalls or errors.  It's only a PC that sees this crippling issue.

Any help?  Please?

Thanks,  George

Erica from Apple support:  Your efforts to help on this subject are appreciated.  However, during my wait for your supervisor, just when I stepped away from my desk for a moment you must have picked up your phone again.  When I heard a noise (other than the hold music) I rushed back to my desk only to hear you hang up.  When the phone rang and the ANI said "Apple support" I tried to pick up but you were gone by the time I got the button pressed.

Hopefully you'll see this note and leave a message on how to resolve this issue for me and the others from other similar questions posed on this forum.

    Thanks,

    George
