Mar 24, 2015 6:02 PM in response to scabthepoetby ermiller79,Thank you thepartydj. Your method worked for me. So dumb that it has to be done that way, but very happy to have the storage back. Come'on Apple, your better than that.

Mar 31, 2015 3:16 PM in response to armccoyby Reginald needs help,I Have the same problem too.I tried to delete the "recently deleted" album. The photos were totally gone and never can be found anywhere in my app. But I just wonder why the memory of my photos is still 1gb where in fact it is empty. Well maybe we really need to wait for the 30days in the recently deleted album so that it is truly gone. I hope we can fix our bug sooner.....

Apr 11, 2015 11:18 AM in response to armccoyby frustraciontotal,I have had same problem for 2 days and tried everything on here to no avail, (I have iPhone 6 by the way) then I went to settings-photos & camera-icloud photo library and toggled it off, it asked me to "remove from this phone" which I did, now it's sorted, no more space issues! (then I toggled it back on after).
Hope this helps!

Apr 17, 2015 10:46 AM in response to scabthepoetby Gi-ga-ge So-qui-li,Thank you so much for the steps! I had researched this because the 3 iPhones in my house were all showing GB of storage used with only a couple of pictures. I was getting ready to reset all the phones when I found your post. Worked like a charm! Wado (Thank you)!

Apr 26, 2015 7:55 AM in response to scabthepoetby jjbwoolridge,Helped me too!
In additon - I cleared out the "recently deleted" folder first, then updated to iOS 8.3, then followed the above instructions. I didn't have any recently deleted photos after changing the date to delete, but simply changing the date back to 2007 seemed to make it rethink what it had.

Apr 26, 2015 10:45 AM in response to scabthepoetby SeeSawRider,Incredible! This problem has been hounding me for the last 2 months - I couldn't figure out why I was using so much storage with so few apps and photos. THANK YOU scabthepoet!

Apr 28, 2015 12:59 PM in response to scabthepoetby martijn008,Great start, but I had to do one additional thing to get my space back: I had to sync (and unsync) my photo's with iCloud.
If you have too many pictures however, you will get an error if you didn't execute your steps.
