Why is it, I can view the Nikon AW1 raw *.nef files on my iPhone and iPad but not on my iMac?

I can view Raw *nef files from my Nikon AW1 camera on my Iphone and Ipad but I can't see icons onor open the raw files in preview on my imac. Surely there

should be an update soon, I have looked through the raw compatibility list on the Apple site and the Nikon AW1 is not there. I have downloaded Adobe's

dng converter but it would be nice to see what I am going to convert before wasting space and time on duplicates. I know I can view using Nikon's software

but again it would be nice not having to open another program just to view files, It's alot easier from within "finder".

Please let me know if there is an update on the cards soon.

No one but Apple knows when and if a particular camera will be included.

You can go to Apple - Mac OS X - Feedback and leave feedback stating you want this camera. Not sure it it will help but it can't hurt.

As for the iPhone/iPad as they do not do Raw decoding I suspect they are looking at the JPG preview embedded in the Raw file to display the image.

Thank you Frank, I have sent them feedback. Lets see what happens. If the iphone and ipad show a preview of the raw file, why can't they do that for the mac? That's all I want. That wasn't a direct question to you, just saying lol
