Q: My iPod Touch just got updated to 6.1.6 and loses battery life

My iPod Touch is now updated to 6.1.6 and it loses a lot of battery life. I always plug it in overnight and leave the brightness low. Battery life was never an issue until it was updated. The battery used to last me majority of the day, now I'm lucky if it lasts six or seven hours with the brightness less than a quarter and all apps closed. How can I get it back to normal?

I have the same problem I keep my touch in airplane mode and only recharge every few days now I need to charge twice a day this upgrade is junk.

There is an iPod touch sub-group here, you should post this question in that group. This group is for the 160 GB iPod classic that doesn't look like an iPhone
