Q: What happened to my TextEdit?

What used to be a great program for editing has turned into a nightmare.

I can't "save as" anymore. Why on earth would they change that function. It's a total FU now!

Bring back the old TextEdit. It was wonderful. My "go-to" editor. Now it's a POS!!

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

You can get to "save as" by holding the "alt" key while "file" menu is open.

But

It's even easier just to click on the document title and select duplicate, then change the name and location. Try it for a while and see, works great.
