When i go to use Apple defalt dictation software included with the machine it only makes a beep and no microphone pops up and i did hit the FN key twice. I tried changeing the language and i also tried shuting down. NOTHING WORKS! i dont know what to do i want to get rid of my mac!!!

still doesn't work
This happened to me just today as a matter of fact I highlighted text and Used the CONTROL~ESC keys and no text to speech. the only thing that helped me was after trying system preferences no help so I did a SMC reset and alls well now!! give it a try it wont hurt!! Nevermind,Updating softwareFixed the problem, Now to learn how to use the new dictation!
