Using Citrix remote receiver with my Imac

Hello,

I can connect just fine to my work PC using Citrix, and an RSA SecurID pin tag via my imac at home.

but there is such a lag on my cursor that it makes working impossible. It is a 2-3 second lag. I also tried to persevere and work on some files and noticed my whole computer slows down.

I am using snow leopard 10.6.8 and a 2008? imac. it is an older one.

IT department at work told me other staff have no problems going from mac to PC, so it may be my computer.

my computer is slow, but not this slow at all.

Any ideas? I use a wacom tablet, so I tried reconnecting a regular mouse, and that had no improvement.
