You can create an entire resume using TextEdit which is already included with your Mac. TextEdit supports formatted text so you can format bold headings, spacing, etc. and it will let you save the resume as RTF which is Word compatible.

On that page you are able to purchase and download your own Word application, or subscribe on an annual or monthly basis.
If you do not want to pay, you can use free LibreOffice as already suggested. It has a word processor that is similar to Word.
