Maybe not yet! 🙂

Vintage and obsolete Apple products:

Obsolete products are those that were discontinued more than seven years ago. Apple has discontinued all hardware service for obsolete products with no exceptions. Service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products. These include ALL G4 and G5 models.

Not really can we say that it is obsolete, after all it is by Apple. But it is 7 years old and that specific model can be considered as a "vintage" product which may not be able to give you as good performance as the performance is given by the new Macbook Pros and Airs. However you can upgrade your RAM, storage etc by seeing a few tuitorials on YouTube telling you how to do it. And please don't ask that will the upgrade be free, no it will not be, it will atleast cost you $100.

While not able to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.8 or later, given the right software, you can upgrade at least to 10.7.3, and possibly 10.7.5 if you desire. I have found 10.7.5 is not as good at filtering spam though through Mac OS X's Mail.
