iPhone 5c
yes
Are you sure? Other peole tell me it won't work.
Why do you waste time asking if you won't accept the answer?
Still yes.
If you buy an unlocked iphone from the Apple Store, then it is unlocked and can be used with any supported GSM carrier. You likely will not get LTE and the warranty is not valid outside of the U.S.
Not sure why you do this, but you can if you would like.
The reason I'm still not sure is because severals people told me otherwise. Now i'm confused. I don't want to buy and expensive phone here and then it doesn't work there with their phone companies. It is a gift for someone who lives there and he woudld have to have a contract with a local phone company. I know that I can use my phone when I go visiting there, but it stil goes tthrough AT&T. This is a different story, than someone who lives in Switzerland and has to use it there with a Swiss company.
As the posters above have clearly stated the answer is Yes, despite what others might say.
I would still not recommend this.
Buy the iphone there, not in the U.S.
The warranty on a U.S iphone would not be valid outside of the U.S., and you wiil likely not get LTE service.
One more question: What is LTE? As you can see I'm not a very technical person and don't know muc about all this. this is the reason I sk you for help.
It's the current (3/2014) fastest data network for mobile devices. Unfortunately many different vendors use different frequencies, so it's a bit of a mess. The unlocked iPhone 5 purchased from the Apple store a year+ ago has worked with LTE on several networks (t-mobile US for one). YMMV.
Thank you for explaining that to me. Now I really go to sleep. good night
