Cookies

Intel MacBook Pro 2010, OS X 10.9.2, Safari 7.0.2.

I have a problem but apparently no solution. For the last month or so - since Safari upgrade? - I have cleared history and then removed cookies and other website data. However 500 keep reappearing despite constant deletions and closing down Safari. There are also sites, including in Top Sites, which also keep reverting, that I do not believe I have visited, e.g. Disney.

My partner has an Intel iMac 2011 with same version of Safari but does not have this issue.

Can anyone help?
