Q: Installed this update today, now my external speakers do not work..iMac speakers work fine...I have Microlab externals...not a sound now...any suggestions?

Anyone else had this issue....?

Opened the Mac for the first time in 3 days....had the message "urgent security update"...or similar....installed this and now the external speakers do not respond at all.

Try resetting the SMC (might help..cannot hurt).
