Since I have updated my iPhone to 7.1 one I can't hear my music or videos playing what doin do

Y phone recently e was updated to the 7.1 an I am in able to hear my music or videos bring played what can I do about that nor can i control tha sound when I press tha e sound button it does not show that I'm changing the volume on the screen like it use to I like the old version better

If you are having issues with sound, the check out the Acoustic-speaker/microphone/receiver to troubleshoot the issue further as well as the other article below to ensure that there is nothing preventing audio from coming from the speaker.
