Syncing mail between your phone and computer

What about Yahoo? My problem is my Yahoo account isn't syncing between my phone and computer (both apple).

Go to your Gmail account on Googles site and make sure it is enabled for IMAP as follows:

1. Sign in to Gmail.
2. Click the gear in the top right.
3. Select Settings.
4. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
5. Select Enable IMAP.
6. Click Save Changes.

Wait 15 minutes or so for the changes to be applied. Then on your Mac, open Mail, go to Mail>Preferences>Accounts, click your Gmail POP account on the left, then uncheck Enable This Account to the right. Then click "+" below the accounts list, select Google and add your Gmail account. It should be added as an IMAP account this time. (You can check Mail>Preferences>Accounts>your Gmail account>Account Information to be sure the Incoming server says "imap.gmail.com".)

On your iOS device(s), deleting the existing account in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars then add it back by tapping Add Account>Google.

I have an AT&T account. I have set up numerous folders in my Mac email. The folders exist on my iPhone but not the emails that I have saved to these folders. How can I get these emails to sync with the sam folders on my iPhone?

You cannot.

Start using an IMAP email account, such as iCloud email, Gmail or Yahoo. POP/POP3 email accounts don't sync changes across your devices, IMAP (and exchange) accounts do.

Try to move one email to one of those folders on your phone. Also try to verify that email folder exists on the server, by going to yahoo and signing in to your ATT account.
