Q: I just bought a IMac refurbished.  It is 10.5.8 version.  I've tried to update to OSX Mavericks thru Store but it only tells me all about it but doesn't give me the option to download.l

    You must be at Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to get the App Store to download and install Mavericks

     

    To upgrade to 10.6, you must purchase the Snow Leopard install DVD from Apple

     

    Where did you purchase the refurbished iMac from? A refurbished iMac with 10.5.8 sounds like it is far older then anything Apple would reburbish.
