Lost Xerox700 printer features

We recently had a push update for our Xerox700 printer. We lost access to the print features of the machine. We called Xerox and they said that it is not their problem. It is coming from Apple. They said it was a CUP problem and Apple should have a solution for us.

Did anyone encountered such issue?

Intel 2x2.66Ghz - 6 Core Intel Xeon-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.7), 24GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB

That is basically what we did. But this raised another question: how can we stop a pushed update from Apple, that is not a good one? I mean, this update for the Xerox driver is not good but it's being sent by Apple as a valid one. Is there a place we can send our comments so they can investigate on it. Even Xerox is saying that it is not there problem. So I am kind of lost in that.
