This is an observation on my part.
I find that if you stear clear of anything that was burned on a PC to start with until you become familiar with the different problems that can occur from the different software and more particularlly MEDIA.
Cheaper Bargin Basement Media has shown to be a problem.
I try to follow this guide when using any media in my Mac.

When using Commercial CD's(Music) and DVD's(Movies), you probably are not having any problems at all.
I hate to use obscure examples but lets put it like this.
You wouldn't feed rat poison to your cat or dog.
So why use substandard products in your Mac.
Maybe that wasn't the best way to put it but I find using the best produces the best.
