iso download has created a lock on my screen

There is a lock with a arrow circle on the top of my screen and now I can't download anything to my dropbox or sync to my computer. How do I get the lock off?

None of the suggestions here worked for me to get rid of the Unlock screen. But I have a Dropbox app on my iPhone, so I went in there, clicked on the system wheel for settings at the top left corner of the screen. Then I clicked "Connect a Computer". I got a link https://www.dropbox.com/connect that I entered in the browser on my computer. There I got a symbol I scanned with my iPhone and a code to confirm the connection. After that, my images and videos started uploading wireless. BUT, when I connected my iPhone using USB, it got locked again. At least it worked for a while.

Hard for people to be helpful when you give vague and very limited details of the problem, and then mention doing something that makes no sense to be trying to do in the first place. People here can only respond to the information you give out - so without clarity and details, nobody here can possible help you.

BTW, nobody here responding is an Apple employee - we are just users of Apple products like you, volunteering our knowledge and experience (not to mention our time) to help eachother out.

I recently had the same problem - Device is locked. Dropbox couldn't import photos because Apple iPhone maybe locked. Unlock and try again.

The way I got round it was to modify the Dropbox camera upload autoplay settings in the Dropbox preferences.

  • Click the Dropbox icon in the sytem tray.
  • Click on the gear icon for the tools pull down menu then select Preferences. This opens the Dropbox Preferences window.
  • Select the Import tab.
  • Click the link to Change AutoPlay Settings. This opens a control panel window for AutoPlay.
  • Scroll to the bottom of this window to the Devices section and click on the pull down menu next to Apple iPhone.
  • Change the setting on this menu to Ask me every time.
  • Click Save.
  • Click OK in Dropbox Preferences
  • Now plug your iPhone in (make sure the screen is unlocked).
  • If asked to trust the computer respond ok.
  • You should now get an autoplay window on which you can select Import photos and videos using Dropbox.

I have had to repeat this process each time I want to import photos to this PC. If I find a permanent solution I will re-post.

This was on a PC running Windows 7, shortly after upgrading to IOS8, but don't know if this is connected.
