my iPad no longer syncs to macbook

I received my ipad mini along with my mac book air the same time and synced them then successfully last summer, 2013. Just recently my ipad no longer connects to itunes and itunes reports "This ipad is supervised by another computer and cannot be used with this computer."

What does that mean?
