What is the best way to connect 2 monitors to a Mac Pro 13 inch (2013)?

if you're buying new displays, try to make sure they have a displayport connection then very easy to run a mini DP from your laptop to the DP on the monitor

If you want to connect 2 Displays you must do it one with the Minidisplayport and one by HDMI if you have a Retina 13 Inch. i think the old MBP doenst have HDMi Out

the 2013 13" retina has 2 thunderbolt ports, so why does OP need to use HDMI? 2 monitors via a displayport cable into the thunderbolt connectors will work fine.
