Q: NON-SERVER OS on 3.0 Quad Core
Hello All:
Can I install regular old 10.6 from my install DVD onto an Xserve?
Or will these machines ONLY run on server OS...
I want to use the mashine as a stand alone computer.
It wont be used as a server, and dont care about server OS "features" that I might loose.

Assuming the XServe you have is the early 2008 model (dual 3.0Ghz CPU) the original OS would have been 10.5.1 OS X Server. So any OS X version, client or server, newer than that will install and work perfectly fine.
