Project folder is empy and contents are missing...please help

I moved some event files to the trash in imovie and now my project folder is completely empty! I was trying to create more room to complete a very important project and now its gone. Please help.

I have Mavericks installed on a 2009 macbook. I have the latest version of iMovie 10.2.

How do I restore them?

Just before I deleted these two events, iMovie crashed and I had to reboot. I assumed it was because I was using too much memory.

I am at a loss! Time machine says it was never set up when I know I set it up in August 2013.
