media buttons not working with iTunes on windows 8.1

Hi

My problem is that i can't use my media buttons (play/pause stop etc.) with iTunes on windows 8.1, when i press play/pause button it automaticly opens up windows media player. I tried digging through the settings in both wmp and iTunes with no luck.

I am using an Asus laptop, both the OS and iTunes is 64 bit with all the drivers updated to the latest possible version.
