missing menu bar

menu bar missing in safari. Cant type in anything as its gray. Any ideas beyond reloading safari and, if thats the only solution, how do i do it?

wait, i can see the bar, its just gray and i cant type in it

i wrote the wrong thing. the bar isnt missing. its gray and i cant write in it.
