Bloomberg no longer works on Apple TV

It is more than two years since you had this problem in 2014 and now the problem has cropped up in 2016 for me too.

Suddenly, the Bloomberg TV app for Apple TV won't display the lineup of shows or play any of them. All I can watch is the Live Now content. I tried restarting to no avail and wonder if I have to wait four days like you did for it to resolve mysteriously... come on Bloomberg/Apple! fix it!

I did notice that Bloomberg live still works but virtually every other video selection results in an endless spinning wheel. This issue started three days ago. Every other app works fine. Rebooted ATV and reset internet connection and router to no avail. Will someone else confirm if they are able to select one of the Bloomberg videos (excluding live) without error?

I am having this exact same problem.

Under the "Bloomberg" tile on Apple TV the only thing that works is "Live TV". I can't get anything else to play. Nothing under "Shows" works, none of the clips and videos work anywhere else. It does exactly to me what all of you have noted as well. It just goes to the screen that says "Accessing Bloomberg" with the spinning wheel and never goes anywhere from there. It started for me about 3 days ago as well.

Total bummer and I just wanted to add that to this thread as well to get some momentum behind this so that Apple can hopefully notice that there is a problem here and can make a fix.

Personally, I'm pretty frustrated as this is where I go to get my quick daily news fix. All the clips are updating so something is working with the content being updated but I just can't watch any of it.

Same problem here, can stream live Bloomberg, but NOT the videos, esp the shows. Like Mike61 I am missing some Charlie Rose episodes. thanks for everyones feedback it saves me trying to fix by all the resets etc that all of you have tried. For everyone's reference I am up in Canada, so definitely a different internet provider than probably any of you. Hope Apple will fix this soon.

Same problem here. I believe this is day #4 now.

I want to also mention that it seems icloud access does not work either. Seems to have happened around the same time. E.g. My screensaver of icloud photos cannot be previewed nor will it play after Apple TV is idle (screen just goes blank).

Similar to previous posters, only the live tv works for bloomberg. For reference I am also in Canada.

Looks like they fixed it!!

I tried it today an I can play the clips and shows again.

The only thing that was a bit different is that when I play a clip it nolonger automaticaly plays the next clip. A minimal annoyance.

Otherwise, I'm just glad it's back up and running.

I don't even get a spinning wheel- just a black screen when I move the focus/cursor to "Bloomberg" "Shows" and "Playlist". Only "Live Now" works.

I used the Feedback option within the app (I think it is in the app's settings). After rating the app "poor" and answering a few questions, it gave me a contact address, which I used to send a mail via another device. They said they were looking into it, but you might want to send them a mail also, just to nudge them along.

Update: Bloomberg mailed me back promptly to say they were working on it. I have no idea whether they fixed the problem, or if it resolved for some other reason, but the Bloomberg TV app is working again on my Apple TV, at least for now.

Power cycle the ATV and router.

What specifically do you mean by "no longer works"? This may give an indication as to what the problem truly is.

Bloomberg has also died on my Apple TV. Bloomberg comes up with the menu, I select an item, it says "accessing Bloomberg" wheel spins forever.

The only ited that will stream is Live TV.

I am encountering the exact same situation.

I have the same problem. I can't view any bloomberg videos since 3 days ago. I restarted my apple TV but no luck.

Same here, all resets and restarts done. Obviously an app issue or maybe a sw issue linked to the last update. Just gotta sit tight I guess.

same as mine. I called up Apple support. the guy suggested to disable the firewall of the router.

but I told hime this happened just two days ago.
