iphone 5 battery life after updating to ios 7.1

I have the same issue on 1 of my iphone 5's. Go to work at 08:00 and drive home around 15:00 and without even lifting the phone out of my pocket it is dead, completely dead. I have turned off everything in the notification centre and everything that would like to push data etc is turned off but it makes no difference. I have had it in to the Apple Stores in Belfast, Glasgow & Liverpool and get the same answer. Dont you think 8 hours is good on standby on a phone that is just over 12 months old? NO I don't, not to have no useout of it at all!
