Q: I have adobe after effect and it will not open, it gives me the message saying after effect can not be used in this version of OS X.....I really need this problem fixed, I use this program to edit movies and videos! HELP!!!

Upgrade to a version that will run on Mavericks. Alternatively, revert to the OS that did run the app.

I have After Effects 11 (CS6 package) and OS X 10.9.2. Other CS6 runs on this OS why does After Effects not? Are you really saying I have to go back to an earlier OS to run After Effects?

Is this a CS2 or older version? If so, that's why it won't run. PowerPC apps are dead in Lion 10.7 or newer.

No reason the CS6 version shouldn't work in Mavericks.

I have a bit of a licence thing as I am using corporate licence and do not know the number. I run the updater yesterday (seems like after effects was not updated) and now i get error -10810 whatever that means. Very painful...

I run the general CS6 updater, not the patch you linked to (because of the licence issue). Will do that next though.
