Can't send email from mac

Hi

I don't know since when, but I can't send email anymore via iCloud on my Mac. iPhone and iPad work. Online iCloud as well.

I am running:

OS X 10.9.2

Mail 7.2 (1874)

I use the @me.com adresses

smtp Server says: iCloud(iCloud)

What I tried so far:

I went to Accounts in SysPref and activated and deactivated the account.

No help

I deleted my iCloud account and created it new from scratch on my Mac

No help

But it changed the smtp server info from iCloud(iCloud offline) to iCloud(iCloud)

But still can't send it.

Also, all info seems to indicate that everything is fine. Account Info, etc.

I am running out of options.

Any help?

You shouldn't be trying to manually set up iCloud email on a Mac runing Mavericks. The account is automatically created when you check Mail in System Preferences.

You mentioned that you already tried signing out. If you didn' t do it this way, try going to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts (your data will still be in iCloud), restart your Mac, then go back and sign back in.

Try deleting the email account in Mail's Accounts preference pane

and then add it back. That will automatically enter the correct server addresses.

Hi

I did not configure iCloud manually. I just logged in out, deleted the account, created it again etc.

I deleted it in Mail and in SyssPref, no difference.

Did delete the account, rebooted and logged newly in again.

Same problem, cant send but receive.

none so far worked.

it is stuck here:

meaning:

Send message

Connect to server p03...

and that is it.

I just dont know why it suddenly failed. I can still receive.

What else can I do?

thanks, no replies

how can I get help from apple.

In the meantime email sending on all my ios devices (newest ios) doesn't work as well.

Hence, mailing is not possible anymore at all.

You can contact Apple support here: http://www.apple.com/support/contact/. Or you can make an appointment with the Genius bar at a nearby Apple store if you have one near you.
