Q: iPhone 5S, bluetooth will not pair up with my Oticon Streamer 1.4 device

My Oticon Streamer is a bluetooth connection device to my hearing aids.  I know it's working because my desk phone rings thru the Oticon to my hearing aids.  Works fine.

 

I've been trying to pair up the iPhone 5S and the Oticon.  Briefly, the phone recognizes the Oticon, ask for the password (which is 0000), get a message to make sure the Oticon is turned on (it is), and cannot pair.  Any ideas?

This support document provides the Bluetooth profiles that the iPhone supports. It does not support all hearing aids, and you may need to check with the manufacturer to see if the iPhone profile matches the profile they use to connect with. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
