Air and iMac crash when trying to upgrade to Mavericks from Lion.

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Make sure your Macs can run Mavericks > OS X Mavericks: System Requirements

The v10.9.2 link you posted from is not an upgrade. It's an update for Mavericks only.

I have. It's MacBook Air from 2011, Running Lion (10.7.5), 4Gb Memory... When it restarts to install, I get lines of code and that message "you need to restart your computer by holding down the strat button".... Same thing happens in both computers.
