From XP To Ubantu

Friends and neighbors, I have two computers on a wireless network. My XP will loose support, as you all know, on April 8 of this year. Since I cannot upgrade on it to another higher Windows version on it, I plan to install Ubantu Linux. Is there a QuickTime Player version compatible with Ubantu? Perhaps I will be able to run other Apple programs on it.
