Mini Won't Stay Asleep

I need help. My mini won't stay asleep -- it wakes by itself at random moments. My OS X 10.9.2 and it seems that ever since recent update this problem has been happening. Such a drag to completely shut down after every use!!

Nothing external is connected except screens, keyboard and mouse. I even disconnected external hard drive that does back ups and it still happens.

Disk utility - scanned; no errors or repairs.

I also recently had to reinstall OS due to email issue.

NOTHING has worked so far. HELP

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

One big thing you can do is turn off wake for network access. Unless you need it (I do for example), it will really help keep your mini asleep.

The setting is in system preferences, energy....it's one of the check boxes

Thanks for the tip. But that didn't help...still wakes up randomly.

Anyone else got any thoughts?

If you can open terminal (in applications, utility, terminal), type the following

syslog | grep -i "Wake reason"

It will list what is waking up your mac

Oh thanks! This is what I got (repeated with diffferent time stamps. But what does it mean & how do I fix it?

That's bluetooth.

You can go to apple menu, then system preferences, then bluetooth, then advanced. Now you can turn off which bluetooth devices wake your computer. Turn off too many and you may not have a way to wake it yourself.

So, my bluetooth was already turned off.

I think I figured it out. I looked at more posts about EHC1 and found a suggestion, that seems to have worked.

I restarted my computer while holding down Command + Option + P + R

My computer chimed twice; then I let go.

Seems to have worked!! Thank goodness!!
