GarageBand Outputting Static Noise with Audio Interface

Hey all! Just a couple days ago, I purchased a Macbook Air from Apple. I really like it so far; one of the reasons I bought it was for GarageBand/recording music. I am using a Focusrite iTrack Solo audio interface. It was made for IOS devices such as the iPad, however it also works for Mac/Windows. I never had an issue with it on my old computer, but for some reason I am getting this awful static noise with my new mac. I tested the interface/cables using my iPad and it sounded great! So with that, I am at the conclusion that it is either my computer, or garageband settings mixed up. This is my first mac and therefore my first exerience with OS X, so I am still a bit new to it all. In any case, here are some pictures and a sound clip example of the static noise I am getting:

Any help is appreciated! Thank you & take care.
