Should I use a screen protector on my iPhone?

I currently have an anti-glare screen protector on my iPhone. I just put it on my iPhone last week, when I got my iPhone, and is really nice to protect from scratches, but the crispness of the screen isn't so good. It makes the icons so much lighter, and it just doesn't look very appealing. It also defeats the purpose of retina-display. When I put of the screen protector, I just got really lucky and I didn't have any bubbles, which would stink if I take off my screen protector, then decide I like it better with a protector, and have to re-apply another one. I'm torn apart between taking off the screen protector and leaving it on. I'm asking Apple communities to let me know what they do with their screen and why.

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1

That would depend on how carefully you handle the phone and the environment you use it.

For example, if you shove the phone into a pocket with keys, change, and sandy dirt, there's a good chance it will get scratched eventually.

Even so, some people don't mind some scratches, others are obsessive about keeping it pristine. Some can't stand the look and feel of screen protectors, which always have some effect on viewing and can reduce touch sensitivity. Also, there are many types - crystal clear, anti-fingerprint, anti-glare, privacy etc, all of which appear different...

In the end, it's a question only you can answer.
