Settings - Do not Disturb = Off.
Thanks to both AnaMusic and stedman1. Each responded with the same answer, which solved my problem. Their responses came in at the same time, but AnaMusic was first on the list of responses, so I checked that response as first for solving my problem and stedman1 second for helping me. One thing I would like to know, though! I have had my phone for four months and this just started happening and I have no idea how "do not disturb" was turned on in the first place. Again, thanks to both!

You are quite welcome. As to how it became enabled.... I have seen similar posts on the forum of settings being changed during an upgrade of the iOS. One of the mysteries of computers ;-)
