I have installed a Samsung SSD HDD 840 EVO 1TB and now the Mac mini slows down on the sata bus.

My system is a Mac Mini 3.1 (late 2009)

OSC = Maverick 10.9.2 (13C64)

I have googles the issue and can see the same issue are on other SSD HDDs and it may be related to the NVidia MCP79. Has anybody a solution on this issue..?

Just adding info, I don't have a SSD, I'm using one of Seagate's Hybrid drives, in a MacMini 3.1, but the connection stays at 3 Gigs.

Thank you for your inquiry!

Unfortunately we are not able to help you either. There is something pre-set in some Apple computers, that they just do not negotiate the full link speed with SATA III SSDs. With Windows computers there is always a BIOS update or chipset update to fix this problem, but for Apple computers there is not much you can do, unless Apple provides you with a solution for this.

The SSD is not defective, this is a limitation which comes from the BIOS /FW settings of your computer.
