Thanks for your suggestions.

I have already installed "Trim enabler" with no help. I did remove this program and installed the "chameleon".

This did not fix the issue as it is still:

Anyway the "chameleon" did speed up the boot compaired to "trim enabler" Thanks a lot !!

I Have contacted Samsung Support and they will return with an answer tuesday.. (No support for SSD hardisks in weekends from samsung here in Denmark). I cant find any Firmware to SSD harddisks on Samsungs website.. Do you (or anybody) have any info regarding the lastest Firmware wersion and how to install this?

I will give it a try...

Just for info: I also have an MACBOOK pro 5.3 (mid 2009)

And using a Samsung SSD 840pro 512GB..This SSD works perfekt with below Firmware...

This did NOT help on the speed..

This concluded following:

installing and enable Trim via Chameleon and updating Samsung SSD 840 EVO firmware to lastest version EXT0BB6Q, does not increase nagotiation speed from 1.5Gbit to 3Gbit.

Hi again..

A bit more info: I have seen the speed go up to 3Gbit, maybe 1 out of 10 boot ups..

If i then reboot the Mac mini then then speeds goes down again to 1.5Gbit and i cant reproduce the scenario for getting the 3Gbit.

This was seen with both with and without "Trim enabler and Chamaleon installed" and before and after update of Samsung SSD 840 EVO firmware.

Here was the fix installing the EFI and SMC 1.7 Firmware.

For Mac Mini 3.1 the EFI and SMC firmware only goes up to ver 1.3..

The DVD drive is still installed.

I have tried following

Boot the MAC Mini while pressing "command + s"

When prompt shows I waited 30 seconds before presing "exit"

Then the MAC Mini starts up

But the Speed is still 1.5Gbit
