Help: Word for MAC language problems

Hi hopefully someone can help me...

I haven't changed anything relating to the language of my mac recently but after opening a new document all words I type are flagging up as wrong. The language is set to English(British) with a custom dictionary (its been this way since I bought the MAC) however the suggested words for all my "wrong" spellings are in different languages...
